Donan’s Component Testing Lab (CTL) is currently looking for a Loss Logistics Driver located in Orlando, FL This is a full-time position and is responsible for daily transportation of insurance evidence over land to and from insured residences, as well as delivery and pick up from other designated locations. This position will report directly to the CTL Logistics Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Responsible for inspecting vehicles for mechanical issues and for safety concerns.
  • Responsible for light preventative maintenance on fleet.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean fleet and daily refueling as needed.
  • Planning of routes and delivery schedules.
  • Documentation of work and rest period logs, as well as tracking mileage driven so that to provide fuel and toll receipts.
  • Responsible for input of information to automated systems through each stage of the loading and unloading process.
  • Must comply with all driving regulations and rules such as size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods.
  • Responsible for maneuvering vehicle to both load and unload of deliveries.
  • Responsible for reporting any defects, accidents, or violations that may occur.
  • Responsible for reporting any issues, accidents, or damage to evidence that occurred prior to accepting custody.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS).
  • Must have ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
  • Must have experience with shipping and receiving practices and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to handle any unexpected situations such as weather, traffic, etc.
  • Experience with light preventative maintenance with vehicles and maneuver of loading and unloading with trucks.
  • Prior experience with delivery routes and handling chain of custody with evidence is preferred.
  • Must be highly motivated and reliable.
  • Must be well organized and flexible to meet department needs.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record that meets Donan’s requirements.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently required to stand on one’s feet for prolonged periods of time.
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move objects weighing 50-100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, etc.
  • Frequently required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Frequently required to sit at a computer and look at a computer screen for extended periods of time
