Our locally owned medical courier company is hiring professional drivers!

Facilitating critical patient care through dedicated and passionate courier service.

We are currently looking to hire a service oriented, team player who leads with kindness and positivity to perform our PVH Hospital Route Monday-Friday weekly. Exact Schedule as follows:

Monday: PVH AM 7AM-12:30

Tuesday: PVH Double 7AM-5:30

Wednesday: PVH AM 7AM-12:30

Thursday: PVH AM 7AM-12:30

Friday: PVH Double 7 AM-5:30

*All potential candidates must be vaccinated for Covid & Flu as mandated by the hospital systems.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Couriers will serve as the representative of the client, and therefore, must always present and act in a positive and professional manner.
  • Couriers will be responsible for transporting and delivering a high volume of medical specimens, reports, supplies and slides.
  • Couriers will utilize a handheld scanning device for tracking all deliveries.
  • Couriers must follow company procedures to ensure the safety of all specimens and lab samples.
  • Couriers will be trained in HIPAA practices and must be aware of those regulations at all times.
  • Couriers are responsible for the safe handling and driving of company vehicles.
  • Couriers are required to perform regular cleaning of company vehicles. Carwash passes and cleaning supplies are provided, it is the couriers responsibility to wash, vacuum and clean their vehicle on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

  • A qualified candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
  • Applicants should be quick learners with great attention to detail.
  • Potential couriers will be organized, self-sufficient, critical thinkers. The ability to problem solve while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Applicants should have knowledge of Local and regional roadways, feel comfortable navigating through traffic, and have confidence driving in inclement weather conditions.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a clean driving record (no DUI or DWAI) with a current MVR, proof of current insurance, and a valid state drivers' license.
  • Applicants will be required to pass a drug test for all illegal drugs under the federal law, as well as a background check.
  • Covid Vaccination & Flu shots are required for this position.
  • Applicants should be able to lift and carry 20 Lbs. when necessary.

Compensation:

The starting rate for this position is $16.00 per hour, with quarterly performance-based raises given up to $22.00 per hour. All weekend routes will receive an additional $25 per day in addition to regular hourly wages.

Paid Sick Leave:

All employees will accrue up to 48 hours of paid sick leave. These hours will be accrued at the rate of 0.033 per hour worked.

Paid vacation Time:

All employees will accrue up to 40 hours of paid vacation time. These hours will be accrued at the rate of 0.0192 per hour worked. Once an employee has been employed by DCX for 5 years, they will automatically begin accruing up to 80 hours of paid vacation time per year at the rate of 0.0385 per hour worked.

DC Express provides all company vehicles, gas and vehicle maintenance.
