BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Histology Associate / Lab Technician in Oro Valley, Tucson, AZ 85755

Position Title: Histology Associate โ€“ 1st or 2nd Shift
Location: Oro Valley, Tucson, AZ 85755
Shift: Mon โ€“ Fri, 40 hrs/week
Start Date: 1โ€“2 weeks
Duration: 12-month contract (possible extension)
Pay Rate: $21.00 - $22.00/hr on W2

Job Summary:
Seeking a Histology Associate to support RTD histology laboratories. This role involves performing foundational histotechniques including embedding, microtomy, coverslipping, processing, and staining. You will operate lab/manufacturing equipment, prepare reagents, and follow SOPs to ensure quality and compliance in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine histology techniques (tissue sectioning, staining, embedding).

  • Operate lab/manufacturing equipment and prepare bulk reagents.

  • Follow SOPs to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with FDA, OSHA, ISO, and GMP standards.

  • Document all work accurately and maintain training compliance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma/GED required.

  • 1+ year directly related histology experience.

  • Experience with embedding, microtomy, coverslipping, processing, and staining.

  • Knowledge of lab/manufacturing techniques; experience with SAP preferred.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs and perform repetitive movements.
