Job description

Join our HVAC team at Lincoln Techin East Windsor, CT supporting the next generation of HVAC professionals. This role combines your technicalexpertisewith the opportunity to mentor students in a dynamic lab environment.Maintains lab equipment, tools, and supplies while providing technical support and safety oversight during HVAC laboratory sessions. Works directly with faculty to ensure students receive hands-on training with properly functioning equipment and systems.

Responsibilities for an HVAC Program Lab Assistant:

  • Assistfaculty in setting up laboratory systems,equipmentand trainers for student hands-on assignments
  • Monitor students during lab sessions, ensuring adherence to proper safety protocols and industry standards
  • Providetechnical guidance and troubleshooting support to students during laboratory exercises
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on laboratory systems, equipment, and testing instruments
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and consumables; ensure materials are available for each lab session
  • Assistin equipment setup, breakdown, and storage following lab exercises
  • Identifysafety hazards, equipment malfunctions, and coordinate repairs as needed
  • Communicate with department coordinatorregardingequipment status, safety concerns, and student progress
  • Participate in program meetings, workshops, and recruitment events as assigned

Requirements of an HVAC Program Lab Assistant:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with HVAC systems, equipment, and components
