Job Summary and Qualifications What you will do in this role:
  • Accepts responsibility for own actions; offers and accepts constructive criticism in a non – defensive manner.
  • Adheres to hospital attendance and tardiness policy. Appropriately clocks in/out and returns from break and lunch on time.
  • Adheres to schedule and provides coverage in assigned areas. Adaptable to changes in work flow.
  • Adjusts break and lunch times to ensure appropriate department coverage for optimal patient care.
  • Answers phone by 4th ring. Takes messages and transfers calls appropriately. Strictly follows Personal Telephone/Cell Phone Usage policy (916-010).
  • Appropriate use and inventory of reagents and supplies, order supplies when needed.
  • Assists in maintaining general cleanliness and safety of work area to ensures that work area is clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Assists in phlebotomy/collection. Manages STAT collection in timely manner.
  • Correctly and proficiently charts/mails/faxes lab reports to physician mail boxes/offices.
  • Correctly collects, processes/sends, documents and files COC drug screen.
  • Distributes incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Expectations Ethics and Compliance: 1. All employees will be held accountable for behaviors displayed relative to the values articulated in the Mission and Values Statement. “Will act with absolute honest, integrity and fairness in the way we conduct our business and the way we live our lives.”2. All employees will be held accountable for attending training regarding the Code of Conduct program at least annually.
  • Follows SOP for checking and reconciling CBN tests and draws. Print/review/reconcile computer reports and work sheets as assigned.
  • Has no unapproved overtime.
  • Maintains competency in designated work areas. Performs appropriate volume of workload within specific time frames. Completes work from previous shifts and assists others as available or needed.
