Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team on 1st shift. In this role, you will prepare material samples, operate laboratory equipment, and perform analytical testing to support production and quality goals. Our company specializes in aerospace manufacturing, specifically in metal recycling and treatment for many top producers. The lab technician will be sampling and testing different metals and materials to check for quality and compliance with aerospace standards.

The Lab Technician is responsible for ensuring testing is performed safely, accurately, and in accordance with ISO 9100 standards, customer specifications, and internal quality procedures. This position may also assist with X-ray testing as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process material samples for laboratory testing.

  • Perform routine laboratory procedures, including:

    • Sample logging and preparation

    • Melting samples

    • Cutting, lathing, and polishing

    • Core drilling

    • Oil and chemical reagent changes

    • Equipment setup, calibration, and cleaning

    • Reserving distribution excess barrels as needed

  • Operate laboratory equipment to complete testing and analysis.

  • Record and maintain accurate test data in accordance with ISO 9100 standards and customer requirements.

  • Review laboratory results to ensure they meet quality, chemistry, and purchase specifications.

  • Communicate testing discrepancies and quality concerns to senior laboratory personnel.

  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.

  • Identify product or process issues and assist with corrective actions.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve testing efficiency and reliability.
