Phlebotomy experience is not required for this position, strong computer and data entry skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
The Lab Medical Assistant II is responsible for:
  • Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
  • Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
  • Referring specimens to outside laboratories
  • Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
  • Performance of phlebotomy procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Experience:
  • Required - 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field

Education:
  • Required High School or equivalent
  • Or Bachelors related field in lieu of experience

Credentials:
  • Driver's License

Credential equivalent experience:
  • Preferred Phlebotomy
