Job Summary

IMA Clinical Research is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant for a temporary, 6-month position, with the possibility of extension. This role is ideal for someone with phlebotomy experience who wants hands-on exposure to clinical trials. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Support study coordinators with administrative tasks and manage patient visit scheduling per protocol
  • Collect vital data: vital signs, EKGs, patient interviews, and medical record reviews
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation for regulatory submissions and reviews
  • Perform phlebotomy and manage lab specimen collection, processing, and shipping per trial protocols
  • Handle research office calls, providing assistance and triaging inquiries
  • Collaborate professionally with the Clinical Research Team

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience as a medical assistant with phlebotomy preferred; minimum 6 months in a medical office or equivalent setting required
  • Background in clinical research or the medical field preferred
  • Proficient in phlebotomy/lab draws and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); CRIO experience a plus
  • Willingness to learn lab specimen processing procedures and take on new skills
