Description

Position Summary: Assist in pre and post catheterization patient care. Direct "hands on" care includes arterial/venous sheath removal, vital sign monitoring/measurement, preparing patients for procedures, assisting with admissions/discharges, and point of care testing. Accountable for Inventory management to include stock assessments and restocking procedure suites and pre/post unit. Cross-trained to provide support throughout the department in multiple duties which include a limited role during emergency situations. Good interpersonal skills. Flexible personality essential             

 

Experience

Preferred: 1-3 years direct patient care or hospital experience. Monitoring, measurement, and documentation of vital signs

Preferred: Sterile technique. Computer skills. Inventory management.

Education

Required: High school or G.E.D

Preferred: Nurse’s Aide training or Student Nurse

License and Credentials  

Preferred: Nurse Aide certification. BLS certification.

Skills

Preferred: Obtain and monitor vital signs

Preferred: EKG and or phlebotomy certification

Bi-Weekly Hours: 80

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, no weekends, no holidays. Varying 8 hours day shifts. 

The minimum starting rate for this position is $17.14
