Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pathology Assistant to join our pathology department. Pathology Assistants play a crucial role in supporting pathologists and laboratory operations by performing a variety of technical and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology, anatomy, and pathology procedures, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Assist pathologists in the preparation and performance of post-mortem examinations (autopsies) and surgical pathology procedures.
Prepare surgical specimens for examination, including gross description, dissection, and sampling for microscopic analysis.
Perform macroscopic examination of specimens and accurately document findings.
