Job Description:
Under the direction of the Supervisor, the lab assistant is responsible for support functions, preanalytical processing, preparing specimens to send to appropriate reference laboratories and accessioning/ registration functions.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in a laboratory, medical or other related setting OR any experience or training that supports minimum training for the duties above
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal, written and listening) skills and good leadership abilities.
  • Ability to comply with OSHA and applicable regulatory requirements by following established procedures in order to maintain a safe laboratory environment and to meet accreditation standards.
  • Ability to be flexible as required to adapt to laboratory needs as related to testing and scheduling.
