Job description

Position Highlights
  • Department: Laboratory
  • Hours: Part-Time/30 hours (This is a benefits eligible position.)
  • Shift: Monday-Friday 1pm-7pm with rotating weekends and holidays

Position Summary:
The Specimen Processor Technical Assistant receives specimens from all procurement areas and orders laboratory tests based on physician orders. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: processing specimens for specific departments/locations in the laboratory and preparing specimens to be sent out to Reference Laboratories.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology
  • Previous laboratory experience
