ELIGIBLE FOR $1000 SIGN ON BONUS


The Clinical Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and clinical support to providers in a fast-paced outpatient medical practice. This position performs clinical duties while upholding the highest standards of patient safety, customer service, and compliance. Candidates must hold an active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential from an accredited certifying body.


Key Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Obtain accurate vital signs, weight, height, and patient history.
  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and infection control standards.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Perform EKGs, spirometry, vision testing, wound care, ear lavage, and point-of-care testing.
  • Administer medications and immunizations per standing orders.
  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
  • Track and communicate lab and diagnostic results.
  • Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of specimens.
  • Maintain supply inventory and monitor expiration dates.

Patient Care & Service:

  • Greet patients professionally and provide patient-centered care.
  • Review medications, allergies, and health maintenance items.
  • Provide patient education and follow-up guidance.
  • Support care coordination and referrals.

Administrative & Compliance Duties

  • Document all clinical tasks in the EHR in real time.
  • Participate in huddles, quality initiatives, and compliance audits.
  • Maintain certifications, continuing education, and competencies.
  • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and emergency preparedness standards.
  • Support chart prep, scheduling, and population health tasks.


Schedule: M-Th 8a-5p Fri 8-12

Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • Required: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).
  • Graduate of an accredited MA program.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Current CPR certification or willing to complete within 30 days of hire.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 30 pounds as necessary.


Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to: Practice Manager and/or Clinical Supervisor
  • Works closely with: Providers, Patient Service Representative, Population Health Team, and Network Leadership.
