Pride Health is hiring Lab Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Clifton, NJ. This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Title: Lab Assistant
Location: Clifton, NJ
Schedule: 3rd shift
Pay Range/Salary Range: $21 - $23
Contract Duration: 3+ months
Job Description:
  • Receive, sort, and prepare specimens for testing.
  • Perform specimen processing, aliquoting, slide preparation, and inoculation.
  • Operate laboratory computer systems and maintain records.
  • Conduct routine instrument maintenance and QA/QC activities.
  • Resolve pending lists and locate missing samples.
  • Prepare reagents and media as needed.
  • Store, retrieve, and document specimens and temperature logs.
  • Decontaminate work areas and dispose of biohazardous materials.
  • Perform weekly radioactive wipe tests.
  • Change gas cylinders and follow all PPE and safety requirements.
  • Complete required training and competency assessments.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant training preferred.
  • Math and science coursework preferred.
  • No prior experience required.
Skills:
