Assists licensed laboratory personnel by performing certain limited duties as permitted under CABPC 1269.

Job Description:

EDUCATION

  • HS Diploma or GED or equivalent education/experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

  • At least one (1) year experience and/or training as a laboratory assistant.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of software applications such as MS Word and Excel.

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

  • Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization.

  • Requires the ability to apply independent judgment while carrying out written and/or oral instructions, deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations and work with Laboratory Information System. (LIS).
