Certified Medication Aide

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Franciscan Villa in Broken Arrow, OK. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications in a safe and effective manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians, following established protocols and procedures

  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, and pulse

  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and assisting with positioning

  • Assist with minor surgical and diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a physician

  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization

  • Collect laboratory specimens (e.g., urine, blood) and perform basic lab tests

  • Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and instruments

Requirements:

  • Certified Medication Aide certification

  • Previous experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting preferred
