Position Summary
The People Operations Coordinator provides support to all HR functions. Under direct supervision, this individual focuses on and maintains the administrative issues within the department, including but not limited to, record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS & payroll data entry, legislative compliance, and compliance audits
Essential Functions & Duties
  • Maintains all record keeping for the department, including but not limited to; personnel files and I-9s.
  • Facilitates the administration of HR compliance audits for the Home Office and Brewpubs as assigned.
  • Reconciles monthly billing statements from insurance providers, resolves discrepancies, reviews billings for accuracy bringing discrepancies to the attention of the People Operations Generalist, and codes and advances for payment.
  • Assists with the administration of all health plans including enrollments, status changes and terminations.
  • Partner with People Ops Generalist on benefit enrollment status for all eligible team members.
  • Performs monthly ACA benefits testing for Variable Hour team members.
  • Serves as COBRA Administrator for the Company.
  • Assists with all Payroll/HRIS data entry, reporting, auditing, and processing of the bi-weekly payroll.
  • Processes and coordinates separation documents and final wages/pay in a timely manner for voluntary and involuntary terminations as needed for Home Office and Brewpub team members.
  • Creates and manages position seats in the HRIS.
  • Provides administrative support for new hires on Beer It Forward.
  • Assists with distribution of required notices.
  • Completes the monthly reporting of company employment, payroll and hours for the Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics.
  • Generates and/or creates HR-related reports as assigned.
  • Processes all wage garnishments.
  • Assists People Operations Generalist with administrative tasks as needed, including leaves of absence, worker's compensation, annual or monthly reporting.
  • Researches applicable labor laws staying abreast of the changing work environment in California.
  • Assists the People Operations Generalist in ensuring the Company maintains compliance with all applicable labor law and writing policy as necessary.
  • Assists with the corporate Safety Program and record keeping requirements, including conducting Safety Audits and Safety meetings, ensures all locations are in compliance with OSHA and DOL standards, providing training, and regularly monitors and/or enhances brewpub safety programs.
  • Assists with administration of HR and company policies, procedures and work instructions as needed.
  • Keeps the Company's electronic document storage up to date with any new policies and forms.
  • Responds to all general HR inquiries, escalating those necessary to the People Operations Generalist as necessary.
  • Provides administrative support to all HR programs, projects and/or cultural initiatives as assigned.
  • Completes EDD paperwork including Unemployment, Disability and Paid Family Leave.
  • Assists People Operations team with learning and development content and module creation.
  • Assists the HR team with various tasks and projects as requested.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • BA/BS degree preferred in Human Resources Management or a related field of study.
  • 2-3 years applicable experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to company-established procedures.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Works well in a collaborative environment with multiple departments, individuals, and internal customers.
  • Proficiency with Paycom platform is preferred.
  • Hybrid role: 3 days in-office required (Poway, CA)
