Job description

Client Associate (Wealth Management)

Location: Carlson Towers, Minnetonka, MN

Type: Hybrid, Flexible

Experience: 4+ years of Wealth Management Experience

Schedule: Open to flexibility based on mutual fit

Pay Range: $75,000-$95,000 Annual Salary Equivalent (prorated to hours worked) + Discretionary Bonus Potential

Firm: NewSpring Wealth Partners

Join Our Team at NewSpring Wealth Partners - At NewSpring Wealth Partners, we believe wealth management should feel personal, empowering, and deeply relationship-driven. As an independent, planning-focused firm, we work closely with successful individuals and families to simplify financial complexity, create clarity, and help clients pursue what matters most to them.

About the Role - We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and client-centric Client Associate to support our growing practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative and flexible environment, values professionalism and responsiveness, and enjoys being an integral part of delivering an exceptional client experience.

This opportunity is intentionally designed with flexibility in mind. We are open to candidates seeking a flexible structure that may evolve over time based on business needs and mutual fit. Whether you are an experienced Client Associate looking for greater work-life balance, returning to the workforce, or seeking a more personalized team culture, we would love to connect.

Responsibilities

  • Support client onboarding processes, including account opening, custodial paperwork, and coordination with Schwab to ensure a smooth and timely experience
  • Handle ongoing account maintenance requests, including transfers, distributions, beneficiary updates, and other service-related changes with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Coordinate and confirm client money movements promptly and securely while adhering to firm procedures and compliance standards
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, managing inbound and outbound communication with professionalism, warmth, responsiveness, and confidence
  • Communicate with clients clearly and thoughtfully in writing, including follow-up correspondence, meeting recaps, service updates, and requests for information
  • Prepare materials and documentation for client review meetings, including account summaries, financial data, and tracking of outstanding action items
  • Maintain accurate and organized client records within Wealthbox CRM, ensuring all interactions and updates are documented appropriately
  • Assist with compliance-related documentation, operational workflows, and internal administrative processes to support the broader advisory team
  • Collaborate closely with advisors and team members to help deliver a high-touch, white-glove client experience across all stages of the relationship

Requirements

Ideal Profile / Experience - Four or more years of client service experience in wealth management or financial services is preferred.

Platform experience matters less than a strong grasp of the fundamentals:

  • Account types and structures (individual, joint, IRA, trust, and similar)
  • Account opening, onboarding, and KYC processes
  • Risk tolerance frameworks and money movement workflows
  • Confident, professional phone communication with clients
  • Polished written communication: the ability to draft a client email or meeting recap that is clear, warm, and accurate on the first pass

Custodial platform experience (Schwab, Fidelity, or equivalent) is a plus, not a requirement. Wirehouse and broker-dealer backgrounds translate well.

A Series 65 or 66 is a plus but not required.

Beyond technical knowledge, we are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and client-first. The ideal candidate takes ownership, communicates without being prompted, and takes pride in getting the details right.

Schedule & Flexibility - We recognize that exceptional talent does not always fit into a traditional 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM structure.

This role is intentionally designed with flexibility and sustainability in mind. We are open to discussing schedules depending on candidate preference, experience level, and long-term fit.

Our goal is to create a mutually beneficial structure that allows team members to perform at a high level while maintaining balance and flexibility in their personal lives.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees working 30 or more hours per week
  • Group life and group disability insurance for employees working 30 or more hours per week
  • 401(k) with 3% safe harbor contribution, available to all employees regardless of hours worked
  • Prorated paid time off

Why Join NewSpring? - Boutique, independently owned RIA with a strong, established client base

  • Work directly alongside an experienced advisor in a high-trust environment
  • Flexible scheduling built around outcomes
  • Small-team culture where your contributions are visible and valued
