Within the Montreal business analyst and project management team, under GBTO/EQD department one of our responsibilities is:

  • Build, maintain, and provide technical support to the core systems that are used by global trading desks, and ensure technical and functional coherence within IT architecture.
  • Innovate and provide automated solutions to local and global trading and sales desks.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.
  • Participate in the design, integration, and organization of technical solutions.
  • Translate needs into Agile stories and represent them through the team's delivery efforts.
  • Create and maintain documentation regarding our domain and systems.
  • Participate in end-to-end testing and create test cases based on specific user requirements.
  • Coordinate and liaise with clients on the User Acceptance Test (UAT) phase.
  • Analyze existing reporting logics with the intent of clarifying their current flow, improving their quality, delivering enhancements and porting across platforms.
  • Work with team experts to provide estimates, feedback, and suggestions on business requirements to maximize value for delivery and service resiliency.
  • Participate in preparation, validation, correction, and presentation of ad-hoc report requests from different stakeholders.
  • Work in close relationships with developers and data engineers to ensure proper integration, reports automation and user experience.
  • Animate our agile ceremonies and the team's daily life.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment, developing and supporting business and transversal systems within IT.

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Finance or Financial Engineering, Mathematics of Finance, or Economics.
  • Required at least 3 years of experience at a financial institution, preferably on the trading floor.
  • Preferably 2 years of experience as Business analyst in a financial institution.
  • 5 years of experience as Business Analyst or in similar positions with a clear understanding of Software Development life cycle and process Oriented.

  • Design IT solutions to respond to our business requirements with the Equity and Commodity derivate space.
