AFCAP V Kuwait: SWA Logistics Technician (Secret Clearance)

Program Summary

KBR, through the AFCAP V Program, assists the U.S. Air Force by offering Southwest Asia Logistics Support (SWA Log). These services provide inventory management, property accountability, equipment movement, and logistics coordination for U.S. Air Force operations across multiple locations in Southwest Asia. Alongside SWA Logistics, KBR delivers Engineering Support, NTV Leasing, LAMS, Power Production, BOS-I, and a range of quality-of-life solutions that help sustain base operations.

Job Summary

The Logistics Technician performs property accountability, inventory management, equipment handling, warehouse support, transportation coordination, and BEAR equipment yard operations at the assigned location.

The position is responsible for maintaining accurate records for BEAR equipment, Mission Ready Spares Packages, R-14 accountable property, R-15 consumable items, Airfield Damage Repair equipment, tools, and shop equipment. The Logistics Technician will use automated inventory equipment, prepare logistics documentation, coordinate equipment movements, and support the receipt, shipment, transfer, and disposition of Government property.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly physical inventories of BEAR equipment, MRSP kits, R-14 property, R-15 consumable items, ADR assets, tools, and shop equipment.

  • Compare physical inventories against accountability records and identify missing, excess, damaged, or incorrectly recorded property.

  • Update inventory records and ensure monthly inventory reports are completed accurately and submitted by the required deadline.

  • Record shipments, receipts, transfers, turn-ins, and DLA Disposition Services transactions on the applicable inventory.

  • Research missing items through physical inspections, record reviews, online research, and coordination with current or previously assigned personnel.

  • Support the Primary Equipment Custodian with R-14 and R-15 property-accountability requirements.

  • Initiate transfer-of-accountability requests, equipment turn-in requests, and disposition actions.

  • Prepare DD Form 1149 shipment documentation.

  • Coordinate with the Transportation Management Office for outbound shipments and inbound property.

  • Schedule pickup and delivery appointments for property movements.

  • Perform the physical movement of property that can be safely transported using the Contractor-provided pickup truck.

  • Track accountable tools and shop equipment using barcode scanners, laptops, asset tags, and automated inventory-management software.

  • Apply, replace, and maintain barcode labels and asset-identification tags.

  • Maintain transaction suspense logs and follow up on open logistics actions until completed.

  • Monitor deployed equipment listings, redistribution orders, and property-transfer actions.

  • Maintain continuity files and supporting records for all property transactions.

  • Maintain and organize the BEAR equipment yard.

  • Segregate equipment by type, condition, and serviceability code.

  • Load and unload trucks and assist with equipment re-warehousing.

  • Operate 4,000-pound, 6,000-pound, and 10,000-pound forklifts when authorized and required.

  • Coordinate the transfer of unserviceable equipment and excess property to DLA Disposition Services.

  • Prepare and coordinate supporting traffic movement requests.

  • Assist with recommendations concerning replacement, redistribution, or disposition of BEAR and WRM assets.

  • Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, property discrepancies, and operational concerns to site leadership.

  • Follow all installation safety, security, tool-control, and property-accountability requirements.

  • Perform other logistics and property-management duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. National (USN) with an active Secret Security Clearance

  • Relevant experience in logistics, supply, warehouse operations, property accountability, inventory management, transportation, or equipment management.

  • Experience conducting physical inventories and reconciling inventory records.

  • Ability to maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy property documentation.

  • Ability to operate barcode scanners, laptops, inventory software, and standard office applications.

  • Ability to prepare logistics forms and supporting shipment documentation.

  • Must be certified, or capable of becoming certified, to operate 4K, 6K, and 10K forklifts.

  • Ability to safely load and unload trucks and move equipment within warehouses and equipment yards.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and position materials and equipment consistent with job requirements.

  • Previous AFCAP, Air Force, Department of Defense, War Reserve Materiel, or contingency logistics experience.

  • Experience with BEAR equipment, MRSP inventories, R-14 and R-15 accountability reports, DLA Disposition Services, and DD Form 1149 documentation.

  • Experience with barcode-based inventory systems, including WASP Asset Cloud or comparable systems.
