Job description

The Emergency Operations Center Technician assists the Operations Supervisor. Duties and responsibilities include providing instructions and guidance during emergencies; enforcing off-post memos IAW ARCENT policy. Must maintain communication checks every 2 hours with ARCENT "NCS" (Lucky Main); receive red cross messages and notify the appropriate company's 1SG or CO; disseminate severe weather notifications from ARCENT SWO via SIPR/NIPR and WAVES if necessary; and monitor and generate appropriate reports (Event, SIGACT, CCIR) for all MEDEVAC in ASG-KU AOR.

Qualifications
  1. The Emergency Operations Center Technician is required to pass an annual Physical Ability Test per AR 190-56.
  2. The Emergency Operations Center Technician must be able to enforce and be familiar with camp policy letters; review emergency notifications and battle drill procedures; maintain a duty log, DA Form 1594, of all events during a 24-hour shift.
  3. The Emergency Operations Center Technician shall: Monitor the NIPR / SVoIP Telephones, NIPR / SIPR USG computer networks and the 24hr Events Tracker; Provide assistance, information and notification to the appropriate personnel of reportable incidents in accordance with ASG-Ku and ARCENT Battle Drills, policies, and procedures; Notify the ASG-KU Force Protection Officer on all Force Protection related incidents and issues, and follow given guidance as it pertains to Battle Drills and USG SOPs; Collect, analyze and disseminate operation information from ASG-Ku subordinate camps and facilitate information flow between lower, higher and lateral commands.
  4. The Emergency Operations Center Technician shall: Communicate directly with response management and unit operations officer; Respond to incidents in accordance with policies based on ASG-Ku CCIR, SIR and USG SOP reporting requirements; and Comply with all instructions and directions provided by the ASG-Kuwait Defense Operations Center (KDOC) and BSTB Camp Defense Operations Center (CDOC).
  5. The Emergency Operations Center Technician must have knowledge in military operations and S3/S2 experience working in a Tactical Operations Center (TOC); must be able to work as a team, perform multiple tasks and take guidance from supervisor and BTL CPT/NCOIC

  1. U.S. Citizen - must have and maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance.
  2. Must possess Military background of not less than four (4) years. Must have received an honorable discharge and shall provide evidence of honorable discharge (form DD356) or release from active duty with honorable character of service (form DD-214) (U.S. Military) or comparable document from other FVEY military forces.
  3. Prior experience as officer, warrant officer or non-commissioned officer (E-5 or higher) or team leader in armed forces, police, or private security company in a contingency area.
  4. Must have demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite software to include Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Word, and Internet Explorer
  5. Shall demonstrate a fluency in English equivalency of a level 2+ based on the Interagency Language Roundtable
