Job description

The Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) promotes Pfizer’s product portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists; educates the healthcare community on appropriate use of Pfizer products; calls on accounts/organized customers to improve patients’ experience and the overall quality of patient care. Plays a key role in increasing Pfizer’s brand with high-value customers by connecting account/business landscape insights with Pfizer products and resources.

Basic Qualifications
  • BA/BS (accredited) OR associate’s degree with 8+ years OR high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years relevant experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight.
  • Valid US driver’s license; any DUI/DWI or impaired driving citation within past 7 years disqualifies.
  • Minimum 4 years pharmaceutical sales OR 4 years oncology HCP experience working with oncology thought leaders/high-influence customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care.
  • Demonstrated success with sales or HCP experience.
  • Ability to communicate technical/scientific product and disease management information.
  • Demonstrated business acumen.
  • Proficiency with complex digital applications and adaptability to Pfizer technology model.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3–5 years oncology sales; experience in gynecologic oncology.
  • Master’s degree; advanced HCP degree.
  • Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and KOLs.

  • Promote broad product portfolio; strong disease/therapeutic area knowledge.
  • Strategic account planning and selling; generate demand.
  • Maintain institutional relationships; access challenging providers.
  • Cultivate KOL relationships; assess needs and provide responsive solutions; strong selling/relationship/communication skills; learn quickly; work in matrix.
