Job description

  • Responsible for representing Koch Foods relationships with contracted growers.
  • Oversee breeder farms and grower relationships.
  • Monitor house conditions and bird welfare.
  • Provide technical assistance and recommend improvements on conditions, performance, and cost reductions.
  • Ensure grower is prepared to receive pullets on schedule.
  • Ensure grower is in compliance with Company standards for lighting, ventilation and temperature.
  • Establish proper feed and water programs, maintaining proper bird weight.
  • Manage egg pick up, packing and storage.
  • Communicate with growers, ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Manage production and performance of breeder hens, ensuring high standard of egg production and hatchability.
  • All other relevant duties as required.

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor Degree in Agricultural, Poultry or Animal Science, or other closely related field of study preferred.
  • Current Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record required.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with poultry breeding and bird health.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirement surrounding animal welfare and food production.
  • Strong customer-centric attitude, exhibiting high energy and strong sense of urgency.
