Key responsibilities

  • Map client concepts, relationships, and rules into the ontology and link enterprise data into the knowledge graph.

  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts and engineering teams to develop and ensure the accuracy and consistency of the knowledge model.

  • Design and facilitate workshops to develop a shared understanding of business concepts and guide the integration of data sources into the knowledge graph.

Job description

You want AI that delivers, not hallucinates? So do we! With us, you get expertise, semantics, and technology in one product: d.AP . We connect enterprise data in an ontology-based knowledge graph — so your AI doesn’t hallucinate, but provides explainable and reliable results.

As a Knowledge Engineer / Ontologist (m/f/d), you are responsible for mapping client concepts, relationships, and rules into our ontology, intelligently linking complex enterprise data, and making it usable for AI applications.

Tasks How you can shape the world of tomorrow.

You work with subject-matter experts across departments, understand their domain knowledge, and translate it into formal semantic models.

You build bridges between business units and our engineering team, ensuring that the knowledge model reflects business reality while being technically robust.

You design and facilitate workshops to develop and establish a shared understanding (“shared language”) of central business concepts with stakeholders.

You collaborate closely with our engineering team to conceptually guide the integration of databases, APIs, and other sources into the knowledge graph.

Using standards such as OWL/RDF, you create the model and define logical rules and constraints that ensure the quality and consistency of our knowledge graph.

Skill set
  • You think abstractly and love transforming complex relationships into clear, formal structures. Your ability to move from the concrete to the abstract is one of your strengths.
  • You have experience in modeling, e.g., with UML or ideally semantic technologies (RDF, OWL).
  • You can explain complex technical and logical models in a way that is understandable and compelling for both domain experts and developers. You listen exceptionally well and know how to ask the right questions.
  • You understand how data flows through systems. Terms like APIs, databases, and data pipelines are familiar to you. First experience with graph technologies (e.g., SPARQL, Cypher) is a big plus, but not required.
  • You have the drive to not only manage existing systems but to help build and push forward a new way of organizing knowledge for AI from the ground up.
  • You speak and write fluent German at C1 level.

Individual annual budget and additional development days for your external training.

You can expect a team that

Lives trust. We believe that you know best how, when, and where you are productive. Whether home office, co-working space, or temporarily from abroad in Europe – you shape your workday according to your needs. When we meet in person, our events are real highlights that bring us even closer together as a team.

Fosters curiosity. Learning never stops with us. We support you in continuously developing yourself – with time, budget, and an environment that promotes exchange and forward thinking. For us, curiosity is not a "nice-to-have" but a core value.

Is inspired by co-creation. At digetiers, you not only shape your own role but also actively co-create our company. Whether in projects, processes, or our culture – your ideas count. We believe in bold co-creation instead of rigid structures.

Works professionally with passion. We love to laugh – and still deliver at the highest level. For us, fun and performance go hand in hand and inspire each other.

Sticks together like Musketeers. One for all, all for one – at digetiers this is not just the origin of our name, but lived reality. We win as a team and always have each other’s backs.
