What You'll Do

As a Senior Analyst - BCG Vantage on our Client Focus path within BCG's Consumer Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized BCG Vantage assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.). You will contribute on cases and proposals by contributing relevant analysis and insights and help case teams create strong impact for the client. While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.

You will support commercialization efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders,

through contributing analysis and insights to proposals, client workshops and marketing materials. Additionally, as a Senior Analyst - BCG Vantage, you will contribute to developing intellectual property & assets for the business and assist in onboarding and training junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise.

The candidate is expected to have deep understanding of the Indirect/GNFR procurement process. Experience should Include: deep knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, contract negotiations and commercial structuring (RFP design and execution), cost modeling & TCO analysis, supplier performance and risk management, and Indirect Procurement System understanding (Jaggaer and Coupa), and bid analysis.

  • Consulting skills and approach will be key to succeed in the role when supporting case teams; deep knowledge of Excel modeling and PowerPoint required

What You'll Bring

  • Strong end-to-end understanding of the indirect/GNFR procurement process, including strategic sourcing, RFP design and execution, contract negotiations and commercial structuring, cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, supplier performance management, and bid evaluation.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of retail economics and cost structures, with the ability to translate procurement initiatives into tangible P&L impact, including margin expansion, working capital improvement, and recurring cost savings.
  • Experience building and analyzing spend cubes, conducting detailed spend diagnostics, and applying benchmarking and advanced analytics to identify cost, demand, and process optimization opportunities.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and have experience using business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, or similar) to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Familiar with procurement management systems such as Jaggaer, Coupa, or similar platforms, and understand how digital tools and AI-enabled solutions can enhance sourcing effectiveness, negotiation outcomes, and spend transparency.
  • 2+ years of consulting experience in relevant Indirect procurement required; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred
  • In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience in Indirect procurement required; 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.
The base salary range for this role in Chicago, New York and Washington is $115,700.00 - $119,500.00

This is an estimated range, however, specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.


In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a bonus of up to 24% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
