About this position:

LMCU is looking for a Mortgage Servicing Contact Center Specialist, who is primarily responsible for answering phone inquiries relating to all mortgage servicing functions. This individual is responsible for communication with members, internal staff and outside vendors while demonstrating PRIDE Culture, The Five Star Service Promise and adhering to investor, federal and state regulation.

What you'll do:

  • Answers telephone inquiries from members relating to all servicing functions including, but not limited to: making payments, tech support online banking mortgage portal, payment posting questions, escrow analysis questions, setting appropriate tasks, updating member information, processing payoffs, processing curtailments, preparing routine letters, providing monthly billing statements, doing account research, etc.

  • The employee consistently demonstrates a commitment to the culture of Lake Michigan Credit Union by adhering to the 5 Star Promise, by openly contributing to the success of others on the team, actively participating in I AM LMCU, and by living the core values that define the PRIDE culture.

  • Performs other job duties assigned by supervisor including, but not limited to: assisting with mortgage servicing inbox tasks, audit doc preparation, and system testing

  • Responsible for adhering to and complying with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, adhering to CU policies and procedures, and completing required training by due date.

What You'll Bring:

  • 1-2 years combined experience in Customer Service, Banking and/or Mortgage

  • High School Diploma or GED required, some higher education preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Mortgage Servicing System (MSP Black Knight), Core Banking System, Microsoft Office

  • Customer Service skills, Analytical problem solving skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, self-motivated, effective time management, high levels of personal organization.

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
