Job description

Location: Global Operations Center, Tampa, Florida; or Office, Dallas.

IT Portfolio Manager

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Lead large, complex initiatives end‑to‑end, ensuring delivery meets defined scope, schedule, budget, quality, and value expectations.
  • Apply advanced project and program management practices, including multimodal delivery (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid), to drive measurable strategic value.
  • Establish and validate project scope, value drivers, success criteria, and delivery approach; develop and maintain integrated project plans.
  • Drive disciplined execution and accountability across diverse cross‑functional teams.
  • Manage vendor activities, including RFP development, evaluation, selection, and performance oversight.
  • Serve as the primary interface to executive sponsors, business, and technical leaders; communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and decisions to stakeholders and produce executive‑ready reporting.
  • Identify and manage portfolio and project‑level risks, issues, and dependencies; optimize mitigation strategies and report escalations with clarity.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and variance; support annual planning and tracking of ROI.
  • Coordinate resource planning, including business‑level resources and capacity considerations, to support delivery commitments.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation (charters, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, change requests) and ensure compliance with governance, quality standards, and delivery controls.
  • Lead structured change management activities, partnering with business leaders to assess stakeholder impacts and coordinate adoption planning.
  • Maintain business/IT portfolio, roadmap, and initiative inventory; facilitate prioritization and resource allocation; balance conflicting priorities and remove portfolio‑level blockers.
  • Mentor less experienced project managers and promote consistent use of PMO processes, tools, and best practices.
Required Skills
  • End‑to‑end leadership of large‑scale, complex portfolio initiatives.
  • Advanced project and program management expertise with multimodal delivery leadership.
  • Strategic portfolio planning, prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Integrated project planning, critical path management, and delivery governance.
  • Executive stakeholder engagement and portfolio risk management.
  • Financial stewardship, including budget management, forecasting, variance oversight, and ROI transparency.
  • Vendor management and contract oversight across multiple workstreams.
  • Governance oversight, compliance accountability, and delivery discipline.
  • Portfolio optimization, roadmap management, and strategic sequencing leadership.
  • Experience with project management tools, templates, and governance processes.
  • Organizational change leadership and cross‑initiative adoption enablement.
  • Data‑driven decision making and value outcome measurement support.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or Microsoft365.
Required Qualifications & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of project portfolio management experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) required.
Preferred Qualifications & Education
  • Master’s degree in business, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Advanced program or portfolio management certification (PgMP®, PfMP®) strongly preferred.
  • Agile or hybrid delivery certification (e.g., SAFe®, Disciplined Agile, CSM) preferred.
  • Previous experience in a law firm a plus.
Physical Requirements

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
