Job description

Responsible to grow a sales territory while helping industrial customers keep critical equipment running. As an Outside Sales Executive at KJ Electric, you will develop new business, expand existing accounts, and connect customers with the products and services that best fit their operational needs.


What you'll do

Develop and execute a territory plan that grows revenue, strengthens customer retention, and expands KJ Electric's market presence.

Prospect for new business through targeted outreach, referrals, networking, site visits, and disciplined follow-up.

Build trusted relationships with plant managers, maintenance leaders, engineers, purchasing teams, and other decision-makers.

Conduct customer visits, uncover operational challenges, and recommend practical product, repair, and field-service solutions.

Prepare and present quotes and proposals; communicate value, pricing, availability, lead times, and implementation considerations.

Manage opportunities from qualification through close, including negotiation, follow-up, and coordination of next steps.

Maintain accurate account, activity, pipeline, and forecast information in company sales systems.

Partner with inside sales, product specialists, purchasing, warehouse, repair, and service teams to deliver a strong customer experience.

Stay current on manufacturers, competitors, industry trends, legacy equipment, and emerging technologies.


What you'll bring

Demonstrated success in B2B outside sales, territory development, account management, or a closely related customer-facing role is preferred.

A consultative selling style and the ability to translate customer needs into clear, practical solutions.

Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

Self-motivation, resilience, sound judgment, and the discipline to manage a territory and sales pipeline independently.

Strong organization and follow-through when coordinating customer visits, quotes, proposals, and internal resources.

Comfort using CRM or sales systems to document activity, manage opportunities, and forecast business.

Knowledge of electric motors, drives, controls, power transmission products, or industrial distribution is helpful; training is available.

Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.

Clean driver's license and driving-record.
