What is a kitten?

Kittens are young domestic cats, typically less than one year old. They are known for their playful, curious nature and rapid growth during their first few months of life. Kittens require specialized care, including proper nutrition, socialization, and regular veterinary check-ups to ensure healthy development. As they mature, kittens learn important social and survival skills from their mother and littermates, or from their human caretakers in the case of orphaned kittens.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a kitten, and why are they important?
