Job description

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Kitchen Manager professional to support the Restaurant business by communicating, tracking, training, and coaching all Kitchen Team Members on achieving and exceeding service and revenue goals. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing employees in the continual pursuit of "Operational Excellence" while creating a positive work culture in the kitchen. The Kitchen Manager must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work efficiently. The Kitchen Manager position will report to the Restaurant Director of Operation and is responsible for overseeing the Quality, Safety, Procedures and Training of Team Members in the kitchen.
Position Type: Full-Time, Open Availability, 40 hours per week

Qualifications:
  • 2 years of Kitchen Management Experience
  • Chick-fil-A experience, preferred
  • Computer and technology (Apple products) competency
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position which includes, but is not limited to standing for up to 10 hours and lifting up to 60lbs
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities of the Restaurant Kitchen Manager:
  • Managing Kitchen Food Safety Systems of the restaurant
  • Managing Kitchen Food Quality Systems of the restaurant
  • Managing Kitchen Food Holding Systems of the Restaurant
  • Managing Restaurant Inventory and Truck ordering
  • Managing Kitchen Speed of Service
  • Managing Kitchen Check list systems
  • Managing Restaurant Food Cost & Restaurant Waste reduction
  • Schedule Kitchen Personnel & Managing Kitchen Labor %

The Kitchen Manager Should Expect To:
  • Kitchen Manager must Consistently & positively deliver accountability and coaching
  • Kitchen Manager must have Flexibly work across seasonal trends (moving from hands-on leadership to exclusive supervision based off sales & staff volume)
  • The kitchen Manager must Tenaciously inspect results of Food Safety inspections, Quality / holding systems, and cleanliness standards.
  • The Kitchen Manager should Focus on systematically and effectively communicating all Kitchen related goals and success factors to Leadership, Supervisors & Team Members
  • The Kitchen Manager must be able to connect with a multicultural team
  • The kitchen Manager must Intentionally and methodically grow and nurture relationships with kitchen team members
  • The Kitchen Manager must Enthusiastically and passionately lead the Kitchen team
  • The kitchen Manager is responsible for hiring, training, daily practices and evaluation practices with the Vision of the organization and yearly goals
  • The Kitchen Manager should expect to work 40 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS
In our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. And we always have. Since the beginning, we've served chicken that is whole breast meat, with no added fillers or hormones, and we bread it by hand in our restaurants. Produce is delivered fresh to our kitchens several times a week. Salads are chopped and prepared fresh throughout the day. Whole lemons are freshly squeezed in our restaurants and combined with pure cane sugar and water (yep, that's all) to make Chick-fil-A Lemonade®. It may not be the easy way, but it's the only way we know.
