Job description

Job Title & Specialty Area:Sr Kitchen Maintenance Tech

Department: Engineering

Location: Dallas, TX

Shift: M-F 7A-3:30P

Job Type: On-Site

Summary:
Responsible for maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing a large inventory of electric and gas commercial kitchen equipment and appliances. Performs preventative maintenance as well as scheduled predictive maintenance checks following manufacturers' recommendation or/and as assigned. Installs new equipment, repairs leaks, maintains settings on wiring controls, and replaces defective or old parts. It is also the kitchen technician's duty to maintain inventory, advise management on capital equipment needs, and ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained.

Responsibilities:
* Identify and troubleshoot commercial type cooking and refrigeration equipment including, the adjustment, repair and/or replacement of compressors, fans, heat exchangers, VFD exhaust fans, natural gas components, sheet metal/flex duct work, filter changes, EMS controls, safety devices etc.
* Maintain and repair equipment including coolers, freezers, ice machines and other restaurant equipment.
* Perform general commercial maintenance with associated scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
* The individual must have good analytical skills and attention to details with the ability to be self-motivated and dependable.
* Log into the work order management system to find, accept, and complete the work requests.

WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 3 years of job experience maintenance kitchen equipment required
* At least 5 years 5-7 years of job category experience preferred
EDUCATION
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Completion of accredited post-secondary vocational or technical school in related field preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* Universal Technician certification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating 90 Days required
* Current and valid state issued driver license Upon Hire required
