Kitchen Dynamics is a service provider in the commercial kitchen equipment industry. We offer commercial kitchen equipment maintenance, repairs and installations. Our clientele includes hotels, restaurants, hospitals, schools and corporate customers. 
 
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our restaurant and hospitality clients, ensuring their "hot side" cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, grills, steamers, etc.) are operating at peak performance. You will diagnose, repair, and install high-grade commercial appliances while delivering exceptional customer service. This role will report to the Service Manager as well as to the Owner. We are a small, growing company and are looking for individuals that enjoy working in a small team with a close collaboration.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, and gas issues on commercial ranges, fryers, broilers, steamers, convection ovens, combi ovens and kettles.
  • Installation: Connect and set up new industrial equipment, including gas piping and electrical wiring.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Execute routine inspections and cleaning to minimize downtime for clients.
  • Inventory & Documentation: Maintain a well-stocked service vehicle and accurately document all service calls, parts used, and labor hours on a company tablet.
  • Customer Service: Clearly explain repair findings and maintenance recommendations to kitchen managers.
Qualifications 

  • Experience: 5 + years of experience servicing commercial cooking equipment preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and using multi-meters/gauges.
  • Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 - 75lbs and work in tight, high-temperature kitchen environments.
  • Availability: Must be willing to participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule (nights/weekends).
