My Floors Flooring America in Galion, OH is looking for a Retail Sales Associate to join our team. If you have a background in the construction trade, can connect with customers, understand their needs, and are ready to turn your hands-on experience into a rewarding retail sales career, this could be the opportunity for you!  As a second-generation, family-owned and operated flooring design showroom serving Central Ohio for 50 years, we know great results start with great people. Whether you're an experienced salesperson or ready to take your trade experience in a new direction, we'll provide the support and product knowledge to help you succeed!

Day-to-Day Tasks:
  • Determine overall flooring/kitchen & bath design needs while offering great customer experiences
  • Build genuine relationships with new & existing customers
  • Schedule appointments for client design consultations
  • Keep up to date on the selection of products & services provided
  • Measure spaces, estimate materials, present proposals, product suggestions, manage payments & oversee project quality
  • Keep the install team on track by sharing clear notes + photos
  • Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications & availability
  • Utilize social media to create networking groups & prospect for new business
  • Keep the showroom clean, organized & on trend
 
What We're Looking For:
  • 2+ years' proven work experience in Retail Sales, Interior Design, Kitchen & Bath Sales, Construction/Remodeling, or similar role
  • Valid driver's license & reliable transportation (REQUIRED)
  • Ability to pass a background check (REQUIRED)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook & CRM platforms
  • Fundamental tech, social media & math skills
  • Personal & professional judgment
  • Positive, communicative & motivated to help grow the business
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision w/a sense of urgency
  • Critical thinking & problem-solving abilities
  • Quick to help customers get what they need
  • Organizational skills & the flexibility to pivot from priority to priority

  • Experience working alongside builders/contractor a big plus
  • Ability to read floor plan drawings & create project estimates a big plus - willing to train
