Overview:
We're looking for enthusiastic, creative, and ambitious individuals to join the team at Texas Spice, Omni Dallas Hotel's signature farm-to-table restaurant featuring locally inspired Texas cuisine. A Kitchen Supervisor plays a vital role in the daily operation of the kitchen by using their culinary expertise to prepare high-quality dishes across multiple hot and cold stations, while supporting the culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
In this role, the Kitchen Supervisor also gains valuable leadership experience by assisting with administrative responsibilities such as scheduling associates, monitoring food quality and consistency, managing inventory, and preparing food orders. Responsibilities:
Supervise and support the culinary team during daily kitchen operations.
Prepare and oversee the production of menu items while maintaining consistency and presentation standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines.
Assist with scheduling, inventory management, food ordering, and controlling waste.
Train, mentor, and motivate line cooks and other kitchen associates.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
Communicate effectively with chefs, managers, and front-of-house associates to ensure smooth service.
Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency during high-volume meal periods.
Assist in maintaining compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Stand for extended periods and safely lift and move heavy items as needed.
Qualifications:
2-4+ years of culinary experience with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, knife skills, sanitation, and food safety standards.
Experience working multiple stations in a high-volume restaurant environment.
Ability to lead, coach, and develop kitchen associates.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to stand and remain active for 8+ hours per shift.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
