About the Role

VG Meats is looking for a passionate and skilled Cook to join our team in Stoney Creek.

This is a unique hybrid role that blends culinary expertise with retail engagement. You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality food experiences while supporting both kitchen and retail operations.

We’re looking for someone who is:

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to high quality standards

  • Execute special menu items as directed by management

  • Support and oversee daily kitchen operations

  • Maintain inventory and track food, supplies, and equipment

  • Ensure all kitchen, storage, and prep areas are clean and sanitized

  • Assist with menu planning, portioning, and food cost control

  • Set up and maintain attractive food displays

Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial cooking experience, OR

  • Experience in a retail food environment
