Description

The Assistant Purchasing Manager will be responsible for the general administration of the shipping and receiving functions for venues, exhibitor kit coordination, and the verification and recording of food and non-food items into inventory, per guideline.

Requirements

 Minimum Requirements 

High School Diploma/GED (Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Management or a related field Preferred)

Experience

Minimum (2) years' experience in shipping and receiving, administrative/clerical position, or equivalent related field.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Excellent organizational skills; must maintain clean and orderly spaces to include office space.

Solid understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing

Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability

Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as professionalism and positive interactions with all encounters.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Working Conditions

Working Environment:

Must report to building, work from home is not an option for this position.

Ex. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.

After hours and weekend work is required on an occasional basis.

Physical Demands:

Active position with some sedentary time

Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to fifty (50) pounds.

Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.

Ability to squat, bend, climb, stoop, and crawl in tight spaces.

Ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures.
