Position Summary
The Instructional Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in K 8 classrooms by providing small-group and individual instruction, supervising students, preparing materials, assessing progress, and modeling the school's Catholic mission.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual and small-group instruction as directed; support literacy and math interventions.
  • Monitor and document student progress; provide regular feedback.
  • Foster a positive classroom culture and model Catholic values.
  • Supervise recess, lunch, and specialist classes; assist with transitions and behavior management.
  • Prepare classroom materials, perform light housekeeping related to the role, and complete other assigned tasks.
  • Communicate and collaborate with teachers, families, and administration; share best practices.

  • Practicing Catholic; support and promote students' spiritual development and the school's mission.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with children in educational, childcare, or recreational settings.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Positive energy and enthusiasm for K 8 Catholic liberal arts education.
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree; experience with K 8 instruction; First Aid/CPR certification.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Anticipated pay: $19.00 $21.00 per hour; approximately 35 40 hours/week. Eligible for benefits. Final salary based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
