SUMMARY:

The RN Nurse Manager works directly with Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and the Medical Director to plan and provide professional nursing care for patients at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and support nursing staff and leads, fostering growth and a positive work environment
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and regulatory/accreditation requirements
  • Monitor patient care quality, driving improvement initiatives as needed
  • Coordinate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Assess patient acuity to guide staffing and resource allocation
  • Address patient/family concerns through advocacy, education, and support
  • Implement evidence-based practices to improve safety, satisfaction, and outcomes
  • Support audits, surveys, and inspections, ensuring corrective actions are taken
  • Oversee infection control, medication administration, and other safety measures
  • Manage departmental budgets and control operational costs (staffing, supplies, equipment)
  • Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities
  • Ensure staff licensure/certification compliance and facilitate ongoing education
  • Supervise, evaluate, and discipline nursing/medical assistant staff as needed
  • Manage scheduling, onboarding, and resolution of staff issues or grievances
  • Collaborate with the Infusion scheduler and support overall clinic/infusion suite operations

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory or managerial role.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Physically capable of standing/walking most of the shift, lifting up to 75 lbs (25 lbs frequently), carrying up to 35 lbs, and performing tasks requiring bending, reaching, crouching, and fine motor coordination
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, auditory, visual) to interact effectively with physicians, APNs, families, staff, and consultants
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written/oral instructions accurately
  • Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure, including emergencies and multitasking situations

INDUSTRY SPECIFIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and the accreditation process.
  • Knowledge of the published National Patient Safety Goals and how to implement strategy to meet and exceed the goals.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients/parents, clinical staff, vendors and fellow employees as well as the public.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
