Responsibilities

SUMMARY

Under direct supervision performs various warehouse duties relating to the distribution facility and general warehousing functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pack, seal, and label product as required.
  • Move, sort, kit, load and unload cartons, orders, pallets, or other into and out of trailers or to designated areas.
  • Ensure proper, efficient, and accurate use of all processes.
  • Clean, organize, sweep, scrub all areas of the facility while ensuring personal workspace is always kept orderly.
  • Read shipment summaries, purchase orders, packing lists, bill of materials, and other documents related to the position within the DC.
  • Perform all duties as it relates to picking and preparing sales orders accurately over 99% of the time.
  • Perform all duties as it relates to receiving and putting up purchase orders accurately over 99% of the time.
  • Ability to identify key areas of improvement as it pertains to maintaining picking order, receiving product, pack, recovery, returns; improving processes and procedures to ensure all aspects of the position are performed correctly and accurately.
  • Must perform greater than 90% to standard with over 80% measured activity.
  • Perform other duties related to department.

Overtime may be required based on business need.

SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGP Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.
  • Participate in job site safety/hazard analysis.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior warehouse experience.
  • Working knowledge of pallet jack and RF equipment.
  • Experience with Forklift or Picker preferred.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions, short communications, and memos; draft simple written correspondence; and effectively communicate in one-on-one or small group settings with customers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Capable of performing calculations involving American currency and standard units of weight, volume, and distance.
  • The ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
