Responsibilities

As a R&D Semiconductor Integration Engineer, your primary focus will be on developing and sustaining cutting-edge micro- and nano-fabrication technologies for high-performance microwave and millimeter-wave applications. This role involves working with InP and GaAs-based HBT, HEMT, and other electronic components that define key competitive specifications, contributing to industry-leading RF, microwave, and high-bit rate instruments.

Your responsibilities will include defining, implementing, and improving semiconductor device processes for microwave and mmWave applications. Collaborating with process and product engineers, technicians, and customers, you will ensure project deliverables are met. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing and transferring new technologies to manufacturing, contributing significantly to the production of compound semiconductor ICs that drive Keysight's multi-billion-dollar electronic test and measurement business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, implement, and enhance semiconductor device processes for microwave and mmWave applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deliverables, partnering with process and product engineers, technicians, and customers.
  • Define material, process, and device performance, supporting semiconductor fab yield targets.
  • Develop and characterize new devices, components, and vehicle circuits.
  • Lead corrective action teams, define actions, and drive schedules.

Qualifications
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of proven experience with advanced semiconductor processes and devices.
  • Specific skills in III-V device physics and processing are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of high-frequency transistor design and performance (HBT, HEMT) is desired.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE) is desired.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills for successful inter and intra-group interactions.
  • Strong accountability, self-initiative, and proactive attitude.
  • Candidates requiring work sponsorship must be eligible for access to export-controlled electronics technology.

This position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations.
