The agency specializes in three main areas of practice including Property & Casualty Lines Insurance, Personal Lines Insurance, and Employee Benefits Insurance.

Group Benefits Specialist

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Group Benefits Specialist to join our Employee Benefits team. This role provides critical support to our Account Executives and serves as an important point of contact for clients, helping deliver exceptional service throughout the employee benefits lifecycle. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and committed to providing outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service by responding to client inquiries and assisting with day-to-day service requests
  • Support Account Executives with client communications, issue resolution, and ongoing account management.
  • Develop positive working relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and internal team members.
  • Assist with employee benefit plan renewals, including gathering information, preparing documentation, and coordinating renewal activities.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining benefit proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Support the implementation of new business and employee benefit plan changes.
  • Assist with enrollment activities and benefits administration as needed.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation within the agency management system.
  • Enter, update, and audit client data using Microsoft Excel and other software platforms.
  • Ensure files are complete, organized, and compliant with agency standards.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • Active Florida 2-15 Life and Health Insurance License required, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Previous experience in employee benefits, insurance, customer service, or an administrative support role preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Employee Navigator or other benefits administration platforms preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, dependable, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, as permitted by law.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
