To thrive as a Keycloak Developer, you need a solid background in Java development, identity and access management (IAM) concepts, and strong knowledge of authentication protocols such as OAuth2 and SAML. Experience with Keycloak configuration, REST APIs, containerization tools like Docker, and familiarity with cloud platforms are typically required. Successful integration typically involves close collaboration with security teams, application developers, and IT administrators.
