Job Description
Houlihan Lokey's Secondary Solutions Group provides strategic advice and execution services to private equity sponsors and institutional investors navigating the fast-growing market for private equity secondary transactions, which reached $225B+ in volume in 2025. The group specializes in both GP-led transactions - such as continuation vehicles, single- and multi-asset restructurings, and tender offers - as well as LP portfolio sales and fund interest transfers. Members of the Secondaries Solutions Group work with a wide variety of private equity sponsors and institutional investors - across both industry and strategy - and work in tandem with Houlihan Lokey's industry coverage, M&A and financial restructuring teams.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Analyst, you will be expected to demonstrate strength across the following areas:

  • Market Analysis: Track and analyse trends in private equity and the secondaries market, including evolving deal structures

Qualifications & Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Relevant Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Investment Banking (M&A, Capital Markets and GP-led Advisory) or Private Capital investment roles

  • Analytical Ability: Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and influence stakeholders
  • Work Ethic: Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
  • Research Skills: Strong qualitative and quantitative research capabilities, with the ability to assess assumptions, limitations, and key drivers
  • Team Orientation: Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive & Motivation: A proactive, self-starter mindset with the desire to succeed in a demanding but rewarding environment
