Position Mission
The Production and Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily execution of production and operational activities, ensuring compliance with production plans, quality standards, safety requirements, productivity goals, and service expectations.
The Supervisor provides direct leadership to employees, promotes teamwork, develops team capabilities, and ensures operational objectives are achieved while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Planning
  • Coordinate daily workforce needs according to production schedules, workload requirements, and operational priorities.
  • Plan and organize the materials, supplies, tools, and resources required to complete daily activities.
  • Assign tasks and balance workload among team members to ensure operational efficiency and achievement of production goals.
  • Communicate operational needs, challenges, and opportunities to the Production and Operations Coordinator.
Operations Coordination and Execution
  • Lead and supervise daily production activities, ensuring compliance with established processes, quality standards, and operational requirements.
  • Execute the production plan and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
  • Train, coach, and support employees on department procedures, safety practices, quality requirements, and operational standards.
  • Ensure employees follow company policies, work instructions, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor product handling, process execution, and operational flow to prevent errors, waste, and delays.
  • Ensure accurate recording of production information, product requirements, and operational data in company systems.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments to support operational alignment and customer service objectives.
Performance Management and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with established operational KPIs and performance objectives.
  • Promote workplace organization, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards.

Qualifications
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish. - Required
  • High School diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing teams in production, operations, logistics, warehouse, cooler, or similar environments.
  • Previous experience in the floral, perishable goods, manufacturing, or distribution industry preferred.
  • Experience leading operational processes and managing daily workflows in fast-paced environments.
