Job description

A private family is seeking an experienced Housekeeper/House Manager to help care for and maintain their 3,500-square-foot single-family home in Key Biscayne. The household includes a couple, their son who resides at home full-time, a daughter who is away at college, and two friendly Labradoodles.
The family resides in Key Biscayne approximately six (6) months each year, generally from November through May, and spends the remaining months at their primary residence in the Northeast. During the months the family is in residence, the position will focus on providing weekly housekeeping and household support. While the family is away, the candidate will continue to clean and maintain the residence, conduct regular property inspections, coordinate vendors and maintenance appointments, and ensure the home is prepared for the family's return.
This is an excellent long-term opportunity for someone seeking a stable, year-round position with a private family.
Schedule
This is a flexible, year-round position requiring a minimum commitment of two (2) to three (3) days per week. The family anticipates approximately 16-24 hours per week, depending on their needs. For the right candidate, they are open to guaranteeing year-round compensation, providing long-term stability and consistent employment.
Responsibilities
Housekeeping
  • Perform detailed cleaning of the residence.
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all living areas.
  • Clean bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, and common areas.
  • Change bed linens and make beds.
  • Laundry and ironing as needed.
  • Maintain organization throughout the home.
  • Ensure the residence remains clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times.
  • Continue routine housekeeping while the family is away to maintain the home in excellent condition.

House Management
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property during the family's absence.
  • Monitor the condition of the home and promptly report any issues.
  • Coordinate and oversee vendors, contractors, and maintenance appointments.
  • Bring in mail and deliveries.
  • Maintain household inventory and stock household essentials prior to the family's arrival.
  • Ensure the residence is prepared before each return to Key Biscayne.
  • Serve as the family's local point of contact for the property while they are out of state.

Optional Pet Care (Preferred, Not Required)
  • Occasional pet sitting for the family's two friendly Labradoodles during short trips when the family travels from Miami.

Candidate Requirements
