Job description

The Psychiatrist provides direct patient care to patients in in-patient and out-patient psychiatric/behavioral health settings.ย  The Psychiatrist is responsible for the evaluation of psychiatric health and medical needs as well as developing and implementing a plan to treat the patients in their care.ย 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical School with a Doctorateโ€™s degree in Medicine (MD/DO) is required.ย  Successful completion of a psychiatric residency approved by the Accreditation Council of on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or equivalent body
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice as required.ย  Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Active DEA and DPS numbers are required
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practiceย 
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicableย 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)ย 
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
