Job description

We are seeking the perfect candidate to join our team! You will be responsible for the Welcome Desk.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list is not all-inclusive and is just a basic overview of the duties and responsibilities of a Dog Lodge Kennel Tech.

  • Work the Welcome Desk - check-ins, check-outs, scheduling appointments, payments
  • Handle pets
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Calm anxious pets
  • Keep the Dog Lodge in tip top shape
  • Assist kennel staff
  • Assist grooming staff
  • Effectively communicate with grooming and kennel staff, management, clients
  • Available to work weekend and holidays

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service experience
  • Previous professional experience working with animals preferred (daycare, shelter, vet, groomer, boarding, etc.)

Skills and Abilities of a successful Dog Lodge member

  • Attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Bright self-starter who can work independently and make common sense decisions
  • Effective communication and coordination skills
  • Computer, phone, and typing skills
