Job description

Stay and Obey, a busy pet care facility in Stevensville MI, is hiring part time or full time Pack Leaders/Kennel Attendants to join our team! You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals at our facility. Starting pay $15/hour with lots of room for growth.

If you're not crazy about pooches, you won't like this job.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle general care tasks such as feeding and administering medication.
  • Monitoring and maintaining a healthy safe pack of 35-70 dogs
  • Keep records of animal feedings, treatments, and other updates
  • Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals
  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment
  • Cleaning and disinfecting of entire facility
  • Lots of poop pick up

We don't just play with puppies all day, be prepared to:

Work hard, move quickly (we don't drag our feet around here. Get Dirty (Dogs slobber, jump and there is the poop)

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in animal care or other related fields is a bonus, but not required. We have our very own training program.
  • Passion to help and treat animals
  • Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
  • A positive, can do attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player and attitude
  • You must have a brain and be willing to use it.
  • You should be able to lift and handle large dogs and expect to be physically active for your entire shift.
  • Along with a strong work ethic and physical stamina, you must be responsible, honest, patient, prompt and very dependable.
  • We are hiring for full or part time, must be able to work some weekends and holidays.

Stay and Obey is the best indoor/outdoor daycare, boarding, training and grooming in the area. Daycare features a large indoor play area as well as two large outdoor play areas. We average 50 a day in daycare and can board up to 70 in our overnight 4x6 Dens. We also offer a variety of training options: Group classes, privates, day training and residency programs. Many fun group class options to satisfy every dog and owner: Agility, Basic Obedience, Rally, Tricks 101, Trek n' Train, Lure Coursing and oh so much more. Grooming is also offered, which makes it so easy for owners, its one stop shopping.
