    Primary Responsibilities

    Employee will be required to complete successfully all phases of the training program outlined by the Sr. Transportation Mgr., Safety and certified by the Transportation Mgr. and assigned driver trainer(s). This will include, but is not limited to completing a training regimen covering 6-8 weeks (or when deemed successfully completed) with a KeHE Driver Trainer demonstrating proficiencies in all areas of the training program.  A minimum of 300 on duty hours and 200 driving hours will also need to be recorded in PeopleNet.

    Essential Functions
    • Train to operate assigned vehicle(s) in a safe and responsible manner observing and abiding by all laws, ordinances, and rules of the road.
    • Operate vehicle assigned and conduct yourself in a manner promoting a favorable impression of KeHE Distributors.
    • Follow the instruction and guidance of the assigned trainer and progress in a manner acceptable to the Driver Trainer and Safety Manager.
    • Willing to agree to a 24 month employment agreement as a CDL Driver for KeHE Distributors.
    Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
    • 1 year employment history with KeHE
    • No final warnings or NCNS in past 12 months
    • Minimum 6 months without a formal corrective action
    • Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Report in the last 3 years and be in the pass category on the Motor Vehicle Grading Criteria specified by KeHE Distributors.
    • Must pass a criminal background check.
    • Pass the D.O.T. physical and drug screening.
    • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when recording information and filling out required forms.
    • Verbal and written communication skills.
    • Self-motivated - must be able to work independently.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Must be a team player and develop a good chemistry with coworkers.
    • Must be able to perform all physical requirements for the job of CDL Truck Driver.
