Keck Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of clients and their families and facilitate appropriate connections to community-based services, ensuring effective support systems are established.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to develop personalized treatment plans that address a wide range of mental health issues, with a focus on trauma, addiction, and domestic violence.
  • Engage in crisis intervention, employing de-escalation techniques to support clients in high-stress situations, while developing tailored strategies to help them manage their mental health challenges.
  • Document and maintain accurate clinical records, including patient medical histories, psychological assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes, to comply with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Advocate for clients by providing education and resources regarding psychosocial stressors, enabling them to understand their conditions and the support systems available.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on serving diverse populations in the San Francisco area, including families facing socioeconomic challenges, individuals experiencing mental health crises, and clients dealing with substance abuse issues. You will utilize a compassionate, culturally sensitive approach to foster trust and encourage open dialogue with clients from varying backgrounds.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist in California.
  • At least one year of professional experience providing mental health counseling to a diverse clientele.
Preferred Experience
